Starting Pay: $68,000-75,000, Depending on Experience

What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career as a Manpower Planner Supervisor, with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
Effectively manage daily work assignments and schedules to meet productivity and drive business results.
Monitor production activity, identify process issues, troubleshoot causes, and develop short- and long-term solutions as merited.
Work closely with site leadership and other supervisors to establish clear processes in alignment with business objectives.
Ensure adherence to TTC standards, procedures, policies, and government regulations, quality, and compliance.
Prioritize adherence to safety protocols encouraging a proactive mindset towards safety in daily operations and decision-making.
Communicate clear expectations, goals, and accomplishments to the team, tying efforts to TTC quality standards, safety protocols, and government regulations.
Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives by advocating for and implementing where merited the improvements with the team.
Promote a culture of trust and accountability by demonstrating honesty, integrity, clear communications and ethical behaviors.
Engage and support team members' development and collaboration toward common goals, while taking ownership of team performance to drive business success.
Manpower Planning
Works with Scheduling to get the correct schedule, Engineering/Finance to understand the model rates, and Management staff to ensure alignment to the plant goals.
Analyzes the plant schedules and reports to determine required staffing needs based on the production rates & product standards. Determine the necessary headcount by area/department and review with management on a weekly basis at the manpower meeting. Monitor and manage the vacation and scheduled days off to ensure they are within guidelines and meets the departmental needs.
Tracks classified job posting status including qualification status & issues to ensure the classification are fully staffed with trained & qualified employees.
Performs the daily, weekly, and monthly activities required to execute the manpower plans while balancing the planned & unplanned absences. This includes direction to replacements for assignments due to absences. Coordinate daily or weekly overtime as requested by the various departments.
Reviews timecards in Toro timekeeping system to ensure punches are in proper job codes and departments. Consult with supervisors for clarity as needed. Records the lost time for quality or delivery issues through the QN/Special order process. Monitors labor reports for accuracy of the worked & earned hours for each area.
Maintains employee rosters for each assembly area for smooth transition from one product or area to another for scheduled and unplanned changes.
Communication
Communicates the manpower plans and all changes to plant personnel via various manpower reports and through the weekly manpower meeting with the management staff. Communicates with HR & Management on postings needed and headcount needs (plus/minus). Completes all required documents for people & informational flow.
Assists with new hire orientation for shop employees through assignments & plant tours.
Safety
To ensure that all safety rules and programs are followed and maintained within the assigned area of responsibility.

What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
High School Diploma or /GED equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations manufacturing or distribution environment.
Experience in supervisory or team lead role a plus.
Basic understanding of the supervisory principles to include problem-solving and conflict resolution.
Effective verbal and written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
Organizational and time management skills.
Proficient software application skills; preferred Microsoft Office Suite, Kronos, Workday.
Ability to understand and follow safety protocols and regulations.
Strong organizational and planning abilities
Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Experience in process improvement; LEAN or continuous improvement certification preferred.
Ability to meet required goals and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
