Graduate Accountant

An opportunity exists for a motivated and detail‑oriented Graduate Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Manager, Accounting and Tax, this role supports a wide range of accounting activities that contribute to the accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of financial operations across Toro Australia’s legal entities. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent finance or accounting graduate seeking hands‑on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
What will you do?
- Prepare month‑end and other journals for review and approval
- Complete general ledger reconciliations in OneStream
- Assist with end‑of‑month reports and reconciliations
- Process bank statements and prepare bank reconciliations
- Conduct monthly lease certification activities
- Support material costing processes, including daily costing of new materials and ECNs
- Maintain service debtor AR accounts and trade material value
- Process customer cash discounts and rebates
- Assist in preparing balance sheet schedules for planning and projections
- Prepare schedules for fringe benefits tax, electricity and motor vehicle lease costs
- Support the preparation of income tax returns, fringe benefits tax returns and financial statements
- Provide assistance with internal and external audit requests
- Undertake other accounting duties and special projects as assigned
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial legislation, safety requirements and ethical standards
- Adhere to all WHS/OHS responsibilities, policies, procedures and safe work practices
What do you need?
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline
- Intermediate skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to changing priorities
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
- A motivated and positive “team player” attitude
