What Will You Do?
Performs and completes welding duties and responsibilities on a variety of different types of outdoor power equipment.
In order to grow and build a successful career with Exmark, you will be responsible for:
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
- Selects appropriate weld jig, positions and secures piece parts in weld jig by loading parts by hand or by hoist
- Performs MIG tack welds and seam welds based on project needs
- Sets up welding cells for production runs
- Buff and inspect welded surfaces to insure quality standards are met
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, regulations, and active participation in all 5S efforts and initiatives
- Perform daily maintenance tasks on fixtures including but not limited to running robot through torch alignment, clean fixtures, change weld consumables (tips, nozzles, diffusers)
- Strives to meet all established safety, quality, cost, and productivity standards
- Continually seeks to improve production methods, equipment performance and overall quality of product
- Ability to learn a variety of different product lines
- Identify and apply Lean methodologies to ensure processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved
- Willingly performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Some technical knowledge and ability to follow standard work and procedures
- Ability and experience in using a variety of different welders and demonstrated welding techniques
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly; 25 pounds frequently; 40 pounds occasionally
