We are seeking a motivated and creative Sales Training Developer Intern to join our Commercial Sales Education & Training team for an approximately 3-month internship supporting sales in the golf, sports fields, and grounds market. This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating engaging learning experiences, as well as learning more about what it takes to be an instructional designer.
What Will You Do?
You’ll work closely with the Commercial Training and Education team and subject matter experts (SMEs) to design, develop, and refine at least one complete training course that empowers our sales teams to succeed. You’ll complete this internship with a fully developed training content to showcase in your portfolio, along with valuable, hands-on experience in instructional design and course development within a commercial sales context.
To learn and grow in this position, you will be responsible for:
- Taking the lead in needs analysis and learner persona research to inform training design.
- Designing and developing an engaging training course from start to finish, which may include any or all the following: graphic designs, video, eLearning modules, job aids, and assessments.
- Assisting in organizing and structuring course content for clarity and effectiveness.
- Maintaining version control and documentation of training assets.
- Partnering with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and team members to ensure transparent and efficient project tracking.
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
- Experience & Education:
- Actively pursuing an Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related major
- Entering your Junior or Senior Year
- Skills:
- Familiarity with instructional design methodology (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
- Ability to follow design templates and style guides
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Articulate Suite (Storyline, Rise, etc.)
- Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro
- Camtasia
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Characteristics:
- Possesses a collaborative nature
- Openness to feedback and iterative design processes

- Operates in a solution-oriented mindset
- Takes initiative on tasks
