What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for the following responsibilities:

  • Analyzes financial activity and prepares monthly entries related to warranty, international accounting, and other functional corporate accounting areas in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Key member of the cross-functional warranty team that supports the ongoing implementation of systems related to warranty and other key systems, including complex warranty modeling and accounting processes.
  • Reviews and analyzes warranty activity for quarterly projections and annual divisional plans. Provides direction and guidance regarding unusual warranty transactions, including review of documentation for warranty special reserves.
  • Assist in the coordination of quarterly reviews and annual audit with external auditors. Responsible for SOX controls regarding warranty accounting and processes.
  • Participate in corporate accounting month-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries.
  • Complete quarterly account reconciliations of certain general ledger accounts.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects that may be assigned.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • B.A./B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Analyst I - 0-2+ years of experience
  • Analyst II - 1+ year at a Big 4 OR 3+ years of industry and accounting experience
  • Analyst III - 2+ years at a Big 4 OR 5+ years of industry and accounting experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Keen eye for continuous improvement opportunities with demonstrated ability to execute and implement change (process improvement, data integrity, clarity of data and messaging)
  • CPA preferred, not required
  • Public Accounting experience is a plus
  • Individually accountable for deliverables with general direction provided by manager.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities for efficiency and improvements in work.
  • Demonstrated systems acumen and strong analytical skills.
  • Works effectively across functions/departments to drive results.

Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $68,000 - $90,000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package.You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
