With strong divisional growth, the Residential and Landscape Contractor (RLC) division is seeking a design master, idea communicator and highly skilled multitasker to lead the Toro RLC Creative Services team as the Manager of Creative Design. In this role, you will influence changes in consumer behavior through ideas, creativity and execution, making a difference in advertising, marketing and communications while inspiring the best experience for our segment/category brands. The Manager provides clear artistic direction, timely and helpful feedback to improve creative executions and pushes boundaries, while being respectful to budget and schedule. The Manager of Creative Design guides all projects and is responsible for the overall quality and governance of work produced by the creative services department.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
Plays an active role in brainstorming and idea generation with senior members of the marketing team to conceptualize transformational ideas that deliver successful, measurable outcomes
Translates business and marketing objectives into clear creative strategies
Manages the creative process from concept to completion
Works closely with multidisciplinary project teams
Coaches and mentors creative services team
Guides key internal and external agency partners
Ensures visual communication and brand standards are met
Manges pitches and proposals – internal and external
Prioritizes workstream and project manages work from concept to execution
Navigates and lead conversations across a variety of groups and leadership levels
Produces creative as appropriate as a working manager of the creative services team
Oversees copywriters to ensure messaging is on brand/identity
Oversees deliverables, timelines and budgets – consistently delivers on time and in scope
Reviews work, troubleshoots and provides feedback to creative team
Provides art direction while demonstrating compelling, creative storytelling
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
8+ years of design experience demonstrating increased responsibilities
A robust background in leadership in an agency and/or corporate environment
Recognized expertise in advertising, retail merchandising, packaging, collateral, identity, interactive design, concepting, film/video, social content
Thought leadership: A strong point of view; ability to contribute to the strategic development of an assignment; creative ideas and the ability to promote concepts
Champion for ideas and responsibly disruptive
Able to articulately communicate ideas – both verbally and visually
Strong ability to prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term needs
Timelines, budgets, and availability change – we need someone who can ”roll with it”
Fast-moving, over-motivated, deadline-oriented multitasker
Fluent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Google Suite
Proven (and provable) expertise in Creative Cloud and other relevant/essential software
Ability to solve problems using keen instincts and organizational experience
Good written and verbal communication skills internally and with clients
Travel expectation: 10-20% mainly to photo shoot locations, retail events or similar

Flexible Work Arrangements – This team is currently implementing a hybrid work schedule. The opportunity to collaborate in the office and work from home part-time, has promoted team-building and flexibility.
Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $117300- $148000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
