This position is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the International Division, which encompasses all regions except the United States and Canada. The role oversees essential marketing functions including strategic and annual planning, pricing, promotion, product placement, P&L management, marketing communications, parts and accessories, financing, as well as channel and customer strategies. Ensures the attainment of annual targets related to sales, profit contribution, inventory turnover, product launches, and strategic objectives for both whole goods and parts/accessories. Close collaboration with division leadership, along with marketing and product development teams from other divisions, is required to drive alignment and success.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: 

  • Conducts market and share analysis; leads strategic and annual planning for the division.

  • Coordinates product development and MGPP with other divisions, ensuring projects meet customer requirements.

  • Drives annual marketing plans to increase engagement and brand relevance across key markets.

  • Implements all marketing aspects of the plan, including guides, promotions, research, websites, merchandising, and more.

  • Monitors global market trends to adapt quickly and achieve financial goals; collaborates with sales leaders on program execution.

  • Works with regional teams to optimize inventory turns and create tailored marketing plans for distributors and dealers.

  • Gathers voice of customer input and maintains business tracking and data analysis processes.

  • Oversee the marketing budget and manage customer databases for effective marketing implementation.

  • Stays current on industry developments through resources, contacts, seminars, and trade shows.

  • Identifies joint-venture or acquisition opportunities.

  • Represents the division at industry events and meetings.

  • Builds, leads, and develops marketing team.

  • Leads divisional Market, Marketing Communication, Analytics, and Demand Planning teams.

  • 30% travel is required

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 

  • A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA is highly preferred.

  • At least 15 years of broad-based, cross-functional business experience are required, ideally within the durable goods industry and with exposure to distributor and dealer channels. International and multicultural experience is also preferred.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical abilities alongside exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills necessary for effective project and team management.

  • Advanced technical proficiency to assess current system effectiveness, recommend, and implement new technologies and processes to enhance overall service and operational efficiency.

  • Proven team-oriented leadership, supporting both divisional and enterprise-wide objectives and functions.

  • Outstanding ability to collaborate across divisions, functions, and with channel partners.

  • Demonstrates alignment with TTC values.

Flexible Work Arrangements – This team is currently implementing a hybrid work schedule. The opportunity to collaborate in the office and work from home part-time, has promoted team-building and flexibility. 

Competitive Salary The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between ​$182100 - ​$240000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
