The Electrical/Electronics Technician III, in Toro’s Landscape and Contractor Group, is a senior-level technical role responsible for the advanced assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of complex electronic systems and assemblies. This position supports engineering, manufacturing, and product development teams and serves as a technical expert for electronic hardware, embedded systems, and electromechanical products.

Work Location:
This opportunity is based out of Bloomington, MN international headquarters. Candidates should prepare for a 5-day on-site schedule.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electronic, electrical, and electromechanical systems to component level
- Build, modify, and test advanced electronic prototypes, subassemblies, and production units
- Support engineering teams with product development, design validation testing (DVT), failure analysis, and root cause investigations
- Interpret and work from detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, and engineering documentation
- Perform system-level testing using advanced test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, environmental chambers, etc.)
- Develop and execute test procedures, document results, and provide technical feedback to engineering
- Support manufacturing by resolving complex electronic production issues and implementing corrective actions
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, reliability, and manufacturability
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Electronics Technician I and II roles
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate documentation, test records, and repair histories
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing complex electronic systems
- Advanced knowledge of analog, digital, and power electronics
- Proven ability to troubleshoot PCBs at the component level
- Experience working with embedded systems, sensors, motors, and communication protocols
- Strong proficiency with electronic test and measurement equipment
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
Other Job-Related Components:
- Ability to sit, stand, and manual dexterity for extended periods while working with electronic equipment
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
- Work is primarily performed in labs, pilot production areas, and office environments
Travel:
- Some travel may be needed for this position.

- Competitive Pay – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the hourly pay range is between $37 - $42. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package.
