Work Location:

  • The anticipated work location is in Bloomington, MN Toro's International Corporate Headquarters.Fully remote is not available at this time.

  • The current team works 3-days on campus in Bloomington, MN, with optional 2-days remote.

  • This role includes travel 15% (both domestic and international) with related expense reporting duties.

What Will You Do?

To grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: 

  • Collaborates with all applicable functions to ensure organization achieves sales/shipment plan

  • Provides accurate shipment predictability based on bookings, product availability, and allocations

  • Provides management and training to Inside Sales Representatives

  • Direct/Monitor Inside Sales Representative’s activities to ensure RLC / Toro programs/policies are being administrated accurately

  • Manage dealer credit lines to drive sales growth  

  • Development and CI (continuous improvement) of channel communications with the intent to provide best in class customer satisfaction (e.g. product availability, timely shipments, shipment accuracy, general booking status)

  • Timely and direct communication with RLC / Toro Territory Managers and Region Sales Managers with regard to product availability, shipment delays/stock outs, credit line issues, and over stock opportunities

  • Ensure fair and equitable distribution of product to maximize retail sales limiting RLC / Toro exposure to floor plan cost

  • Facilitates use of online ordering process by our sales channel finished goods 

  • Maintains, monitors, and continuously improves D1 and D2 booking systems and the integrity of report outs and forecasting

  • Participates in sales planning forum, provides pertinent product mix information and advises production planning of critical product needs

  • Provides accurate accounting of daily, monthly, quarterly, and year end shipments as compared to plan

  • Develops a balance of trust and respect between RLC / Toro and its sales channel

  • Ensures the maximum of loads are built and released from warehouses to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals

  • Identifies and applies Lean methodologies to ensure Inside Sales processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved

  • Participates in monthly Product Planning Committee meetings and provides a sales perspective to help prioritize product development and drive growth and profitability

  • Facilitates monthly SIOP meetings with our distributor and direct partners to communicate production updates, product releases and rework updates when necessary

  • Works with the Director of Sales and our distributor partners to create a mutually agreed upon shipment goal based on historical retail, shipment data and days of inventory

  • Monitor retail trends to ensure projections align with current plan

  • Implement deviations for shipment terms as required

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field(or MBA +3 years of marketing experience).

  • 5+ years of proven experience in sales/sales operations (ideally within manufacturing or industrial sectors).

  • This role includes travel 15% (both domestic and international) with related expense reporting duties.

  • A working manager who has a strong sense of ownership, comfortable with decision making.

  • Prior experience in SAP, or similar software.

Preferred:

  • An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

  • 6+ proven experience in sales/sales operations (ideally within manufacturing or industrial sectors).

  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with Toro products, customers, and dealer/rental channels is a plus.

  • Competitive Salary A reasonable pay range for this opportunity is $101,300 - $126,650.The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
