Your Opportunity:

The Sitework (SWS) Marketing Communications Manager leads the strategic development and implementation of integrated marketing communication plans that promote SWS products, and drives awareness across key channels and end customer markets. The Marketing Communications Manager plays a key role in the planning and execution of go-to-market strategies, product launches, events, and outbound marketing campaigns supporting SWS objectives.

Work Location:

  • The anticipated work location is in Bloomington, MN Toro's International Corporate Headquarters.Fully remote is not available at this time.

  • The current team works 5-days on campus in Bloomington, MN.There could be occasional and intermittent times when hybrid is available, but generally this team is in the office 5-days a week.

  • This role includes travel 20-25% (both domestic and international) with related expense reporting duties.

What Will You Do?

To grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: 

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement integrated marketing communication strategies that align with divisional priorities and elevate the brand across target markets. Partner with Product and Channel Marketing to support go-to-market planning, campaigns, and media initiatives. Apply a data-driven, strategic approach to deliver marketing plans, media, messaging, positioning, campaign, and creative development in alignment with customer needs and business goals.

• Product Launch & Go-to-Market Execution: Lead the planning and execution of impactful outbound product launch marketing efforts, including development of strategic briefs derived from messaging and positioning frameworks, and outbound campaign plans that align with product positioning and divisional priorities.

• Tradeshow & Event Management: Lead planning and execution for all SWS tradeshows and strategic events, including logistics, promotional assets, on-site support, and follow-up.

• Promotional Campaigns & Channel Support: Partner with the Markets/Channel Marketing Manager to support promotional campaign needs across the dealer and rental channels. Contribute to the evolution and optimization of the coop program to ensure brand alignment, program effectiveness and utilization.

• Content Development & Asset Management: Manage creation of high-quality print and digital materials including brochures, product literature, sell sheets, emails, and promotional merchandise. Ensure accuracy, consistency and alignment with brand standards, SWS messaging, positioning and marketing objectives.

• Brand Stewardship: Serve as brand champion for the SWS division, while also ensuring strong collaboration, coordination and alignment across divisions and with overarching Toro brand guidelines. Provide guidance and approval on branding across programs, product materials, events, and co-op submissions to ensure consistent brand expression in market.

• Agency & Vendor Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for creative, media, and PR with agency partners and MPR. Manage scopes of work, timelines, creative briefs, project feedback, photo/video shoots, and production needs across a wide range of deliverables.

• Advertising, PR & Media Strategy: Coordinate the planning and execution of paid and earned media campaigns in collaboration with agency partners. Drive and optimize media strategy by developing clear objectives, reviewing performance metrics, and incorporating customer insights and research. Collaborate with the SWS team and agencies to shape ad messaging and creative that is impactful, well positioned, strategic, and aligned to target audience's needs.

• Marketing Budget Management:Prudently manage and track indirect marketing communications budget.

• Digital Support Responsibilities:Manage SEO and paid search strategy and implementation with agency partner.Manage website product page updates (InRiver, Shop TTC).Coordinate Sitecore landing page updates with cross-divisional and agency partners.Develop and deploy email and social media content, primarily tied to events and

Campaigns.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field(or MBA +3 years of marketing experience).

  • 7+ years of proven experience in marketing communications (ideally within construction equipment, manufacturing, or industrial sectors).

  • This role includes travel 20-25% (both domestic and international) with related expense reporting duties to host and participate with VOC events, trade shows, etc.

  • The ideal candidate combines strong project management, strategic and creative thinking, a passion for collaboration, and the ability to execute with precision and accountability. Ability to make strategic decisions and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Collaborates regularly with product and channel marketing, sales, across divisions and with external partners. Excellent leadership, collaboration and project management skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Plays an active role in annual planning, campaign development, and new product launches. Prior experience planning and executing product launches, events, and outbound campaigns.

  • Strong understanding of current marketing trends and strategies. Strong analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of marketing communication strategies.

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.

  • Experience managing external agencies and developing strategic marketing briefs.

Preferred:

  • An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

  • 8+ proven experience in marketing communications (ideally within construction equipment,manufacturing, or industrial sectors).

  • Familiarity with Toro products, customers, and dealer/rental channels is a plus.

  • Competitive Salary A reasonable pay range for this opportunity is $101,300 - $126,650.The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
