The New Dealer Development Manager is responsible for identifying, recruiting, onboarding, new dealer partners for The Toro Company’s Siteworks Division, which specializes in compact construction equipment. This role plays a critical part in expanding market coverage, enhancing customer access, and driving growth through a high-performing dealer network.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
JC1701Dealer Network Expansion
Identify strategic markets and territories for dealer growth.
Understand and leverage unique customer needs for identifying new dealer opportunities.
Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract high-potential dealer candidates
Evaluate prospective dealers based on financial strength, market presence, customer service capabilities, and alignment with Toro’s brand values.
Onboarding & Enablement
Lead the onboarding process for new dealers, including training, systems setup, and initial inventory planning.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to provide launch support and promotional materials.
Ensure dealers are equipped with the tools and knowledge to effectively sell and support Toro Siteworks products.
Performance Monitoring & Support
Establish performance benchmarks and KPIs for new dealers.
Provide ongoing coaching, business development support, and sales strategy guidance.
Partner with District sales managers to ensure seamless integration into the broader territory channel strategy.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
Conduct market analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for dealer placement.
Monitor competitive activity and dealer performance trends.
Provide feedback to internal stakeholders to inform product development and channel strategy.
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
5+ years of experience in dealer development, channel sales, or territory management, preferably in construction equipment or related industries.
Proven track record of building and managing successful dealer networks.
Familiarity with compact construction equipment and dealer business models.
Experience with CRM systems and dealer management platforms.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel up to 50% domestically!

Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $125900- $160000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
