Your Opportunity:

The Senior Project Manager, Supply Transformation is a highly organized and results-driven negotiator who oversees the entire end to end process of part moves between suppliers, ensuring seamless coordination and transition.  The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, in-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, and experience in working with multiple suppliers and projects simultaneously.  This role will be part of the transformation team at The Toro Company.

Work Location:

  • This opportunity is based out of Bloomington, MN international headquarters.Other job locations and/or fully remote is not available at this time.

  • The current team works 5-days on-site; however will consider a hybrid schedule of 3 days at the Bloomington, MN campus, 2 optional remote days from a home office.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: 

  • Promote a collaborative, team-oriented approach with sourcing, engineering, supply chain and business teams in an effort to improve cost, quality, delivery, and reliability while minimizing supply chain related risk. Provide leadership and project management for other sourcing related projects as needed.

  • Responsible for building and managing comprehensive project plans for supplier transitions, ensuring all tasks and milestones are clearly defined and tracked. Partner with the Sourcing Managers and Commodity Managers to understand opportunities and identify potential suppliers to quote.

  • Gain alignment within the business engineering and marketing groups on supplier transitions and prepare all necessary documents to present proposals to the supplier transition council.  Interface with suppliers to ensure timely RFQ’s and analyze results to develop a recommendation to the business and commodity management.Ensure Total Cost of Ownership models (TCO) and mindset are used in evaluating all opportunities. Partner with the SQE’s and engineering to plan and budget testing and tooling strategy.

  • Create a plan for bridge buys and material coverage with the sourcing specialist for the commodity to ensure there are no interruptions to production.

  • Monitor and report out progress on moves and record all savings in the savings tool.

  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating projects across multiple stakeholders.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience in strategic sourcing or related field and/or project management in an ISC or engineering environment with a global supply base; manufacturing industry preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including interpersonal relationship building and team facilitation.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively and diplomatically interact with and manage customer needs via phone, email, and face to face (internal and external).Tactful in conflict resolution situations. Strong analytical abilities, research skills, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage large workload utilizing mutli-tasking, prioritization and organizing skills. Must be able to work effectively in high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment.Aptitude to learn rapidly and adapt quickly to changing situations.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, and SAP or similar ERP system. Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar project management software.Demonstrated success with creating and presenting effective executive management presentations and communications.

  • Travel involved is approximately 10% domestic and international. The ability to obtain and maintain an active valid passport is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree or MBA preferred.

  • Prior Project Management Certification strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience with Project Management Software, SAP Software,and interpreting Power BI data is preferred.

  • Play a pivotal role in managing, tracking, and executing strategic sourcing strategies across TTC’s businesses and supply base. This position develops strong relationships with cross-functional internal stakeholders and sourcing leaders.

  • Competitive Salary A reasonable pay range for this opportunity is $101,300-$130,000.The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
