Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sourcing Analyst to join our team. The Sourcing Analyst will play a vital role in leading efforts to drive cost savings, manage supplier-related expenses, and optimize overall departmental cost performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to handle complex data sets, and a knack for identifying cost-saving opportunities. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate financial performance and possess exceptional executive-level communication skills. A background in supply chain roles, strong financial acumen, and exceptional organizational skills are key attributes for this role.

Work Location: 

  • The selected finalist is either Bloomington, MN Toro's International Corporate Headquarters, or Ditch Witch Division Headquarters in Perry, OK.  

  • The current team works 3-days on campus, with an optional 2-day hybrid option. 

  • Fully remote is not available at this time. 

What Will You Do? Key Responsibilities:  

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: 

  • Lead Cost Savings Efforts: Take ownership of cost reduction initiatives, working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and implement cost-saving opportunities across the organization.

  • Cost Saving Ideation and Project Tracking: Identify and recommend innovative ideas to minimize costs, and ensure the timely and efficient monitoring and tracking of cost-saving projects.

  • Monthly Budget Forecasting and Reconciliation: Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to forecast monthly budgets accurately and reconcile actual costs against forecasts, providing detailed analysis and explanations.

  • Standard Cost Model Forecasting: Develop and implement processes for creating standard cost models, providing accurate cost forecasts for procurement decisions and working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Total Landed Cost Modeling: Build comprehensive and accurate total landed cost models to evaluate and optimize overall supply chain costs.

  • Handle Complex Data Sets: Analyze and interpret complex supplier and financial data to identify trends, cost drivers, and areas for improvement.

  • Influence Peers and Stakeholders: Build strong relationships with peers and stakeholders, effectively influencing decision-making processes to drive cost management objectives.

  • Visual Reporting and Communication: Develop tools and reports to visually communicate progress, performance, and financial metrics, enabling effective communication to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Executive-Level Communication: Prepare and deliver concise and compelling presentations to executive leadership, summarizing cost performance, savings initiatives, and recommendations.

  • Organizational Skills: Maintain a highly organized approach to project management, ensuring tasks are prioritized, deadlines are met, and documentation is maintained.

What Do You Need?  Required Mindsets, Skills, and Knowledge:

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.

  • Proven experience in supply chain roles, with a focus on cost management.

  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze complex financial data effectively.

  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and Excel.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex information in a concise and understandable manner.

  • Ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and ambiguity.

  • Strong influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships across teams and organizational levels.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Self-starter and motivated to drive continuous improvement in cost management processes.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with SAP, Ariba, and/or PowerBI preferred

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.

  • Competitive Salary A reasonable salary estimate is $88,000 - $95,000 or this opportunity.The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
