As the ​Specialist I, Inside Sales​, you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the sales of assigned business unit related products to business unit sales channel or direct business partners.  Acts as the point of contact for business unit sales channel and business unit sales representatives.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:  

  • ​​​​Obtaining annual forecasts and orders on a monthly basis
  • Inside sales territory support includes but not limited to:
    • Responding to rental and dealer inquiries related to (personally or by referral within Toro):
    • Order configuration
    • Shipment coordination and tracking
    • Equipment transfers
    • Programming
    • Pricing quotes
    • Product availability
    • Consignment inventory
    • Cultivation of new orders
    • Finance and Floorplan
    • New channel partner training
  • Support for business unit sales accounts:
    • Review and communicate orders to business unit accounts
    • Follow orders through the order and invoicing process
    • Work with independent sales representatives as needed to ensure completion of direct sales
  • Communicate monthly with business unit sales channel:
    • Reinforce importance and value of sales channel commitment
    • Gain field marketing information on a timely basis
    • Assist territory managers in the sale of assigned business unit products and accessories
    • Obtain inventory and retail sales progress on a monthly basis

Other Job-Related Components

  • 10 - 15% Travel (North America)
  • Represents business unit at external functions such as Dealer Training events and Trade Shows.
  • In office environment.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:  

  •  ​B.S. Business or related field
  • One to two (1-2) years of experience in similar role 
  • Great communication skills (written & spoken)
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Technical experience with MS Office – advanced Excel & Power Point

  • Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $67,800​ - ​$84,800​. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance. Eligibility and award amounts are determined by company policy and performance metrics. If you need to, you can access your pay early with the dailypay app.
