BOSS is a leader in the snow and ice management business with a growing lineup of plows for trucks, UTVs and ATVs, salt and sand spreaders, and box plows built for the snow and ice management professional, as well as the homeowner. With a focus on uncompromising quality and high-level craftsmanship, BOSS has grown to be a leader in the sale of truck plows.
Co-Op January through August 2025
Responsibilities:
- Assist with design, prototype, and implementation of new products, as well as improvements to existing products.
- Design fixtures for testing and/or welding.
- Conduct tests and collect/analyze data of new or existing products.
- Recognize and help with problem solving efforts in the Product Development Lab.
- Work with design and manufacturing engineers to reduce costs and help improve quality of product.
Education: Pursuing a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience:
- Experience with product design and development processes.
- Experience with 3D modeling software (Creo Parametric is a plus).
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, such as welding, metal cutting, forming, paint and assembly.
Skills:
- Strong analytical, visual, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership skills to lead a team and pull information from others.
- Problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Creo
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities/projects at once.
- Ability to prioritize based on due dates or importance of projects.
