Job Purpose:
Plan, develop, implement, maintain, and improve the Quality Process and Product. Quality Plans approved for use in the assigned plant. Develop quality initiatives for continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques. Manage plant quality control functions to effectively protect the customer from nonconforming or unsafe products and verify that products conform to requirements for shipment to distributors, dealers, and final users. Assure the quality function provides timely and accurate reporting.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
In order to grow and build a successful career at The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
- Maintain an effective quality process to facilitate prevention of defects in materials, parts, assemblies, and products at the earliest practical point in the process.
- Designing quality standards, procedures, and specifications for a company.
- Develop daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports (graphs, summaries, etc.) that measure external processes and ensure accuracy and timely use of such displays and charts.
- Review quality information, initiate corrective and preventive action. Initiate failure analysis efforts of field and line problems.
- Conduct preproduction reviews of new products for quality requirements, measuring and test equipment requirements, and the adequacy of the "Product Quality Plan."
- Maintain an accurate record system that provides objective evidence that process controls were always exercised.
- Promote quality awareness both internal and external to Toro.
- Provide sufficient written standards and ensure related disciplines are in effect to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance with all products produced. Review all Quality Control procedures and capabilities to ensure clear accurate requirements.
- Request engineering changes to correct conditions detrimental to product quality.
- Maintain and improve measuring and test equipment control procedures. Maintain a system that ensures that all measuring and test equipment used for acceptance of product is calibrated correctly.
- Optimize available resources to ensure required skilled manpower, methods equipment, and procedures are available for an effective quality program.
- Implement Lean concepts in all quality processes. Reduce or eliminate waste.
- Implement analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making tools with the ability to drive results.
- Use program and project management skills with strong document management.
- Use quality processes tools (six sigma)

What do you need?
Job Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, an individual must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
- Ten (10) Years of Experience in Quality Engineering/Systems/Manufacturing.
- Lean Manufacturing Principals.
- Project Leadership.
- Control Plans, SPC, Poka Yoke, COPQ, GD&T, QMS/ISO 9001.
- Communication skills at all levels.
- Microsoft Office.
- Green Belt Certification.
- SAP, Minitab.
- English Language Proficiency. Please submit resume in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Black Belt.
- Welding/Powder Paint.
