What are the most common activities?

In order to grow and build a successful career at The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage and direct the staff (materials coordinator) to achieve an optimal use of their skills.
  • Evaluate sales forecasts and establish the efficient material arrival schedule.
  • Maintain the reliable system to keep inventories at the established level.
  • Identify the materials needed to cover the production plan.
  • Procurement of materials, checking that the warehouse equipment correctly complies with receipts for raw materials, shipment of products and inventory adjustments.
  • Responsible for feedback to external and internal suppliers of excess inventories.
  • Plan and execute material activities to meet 100% of the requirement of our finished products to customers, as well as the logistical requirements of their systems and our systems.
  • Prepare projections of inventory goals at certain dates with the required detail.
  • Maintain the optimal level of raw material, process, and finished product inventories determined by the organization using the system and production control.
  • Establish communication channels with customers and suppliers to optimize available resources.
  • Develop activities to ensure availability of material handling equipment.
  • Evaluate and authorize transportation and service providers, as well as material handling, including in said evaluation the aspects of Safety and Environment according to our procedures.
  • Coordinate and assist customs processes for the import and export of materials.
  • Plan and manage activities to ensure material handling equipment availability

  • May require domestic & international travel.

What do you need?

To be considered for this position, an individual must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree concluded with 5-6 years of experience in a similar supervisor position.
  • SAP proficiency.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Kan Ban proficiency.
  • BASC / C-TPAT
  • Communication skills at all levels.
  • Microsoft Office
  • English language proficiency.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Production planning.
  • Customer service.
  • Lean Standard Work.
