What are the most common activities?

In order to grow and build a successful career at The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

Talent Acquisition Leadership & Team Development 

  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of recruiters and/or coordinators to ensure consistent, high-quality recruiting outcomes. 
  • Provide ongoing feedback, performance coaching, and development planning aligned with recruiting best practices and organizational expectations. 

Recruiting & Hiring Execution 

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles while overseeing requisition execution across the team. 
  • Ensure recruiting strategies are tailored to business needs and labor market conditions. 
  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, hiring timelines, and candidate profiles. 

Process, Experience & Compliance 

  • Ensure a positive, consistent candidate and hiring manager experience across all stages of the recruiting lifecycle. 
  • Monitor compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and hiring guidelines. 
  • Leverage applicant tracking systems (Workday) to ensure data accuracy, reporting integrity, and process efficiency. 

Metrics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement 

  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics (e.g., time to fill, candidate quality, hiring manager satisfaction). 
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, tools, or workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability. 
  • Share insights and recommendations with TA leadership to support continuous improvement and strategic decision-making. 

Work Environment:

  • The position may occasionally request support on weekends.
  • May require domestic travel.

What do you need?

To be considered for this position, an individual must meet the following minimum requirements:

Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • 5+ years of progressive talent acquisition or recruiting experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of full-cycle recruiting, sourcing strategies, and labor market dynamics. 
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS); Workday experience strongly preferred. 

Preferred 

  • 1–3 years of experience leading, coaching, or supervising recruiters preferred. 
  • Experience recruiting across a variety of role types (hourly, professional, technical, or leadership). 
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other relevant.
