New Equipment Manager - Direct Business

Toro has an exciting opportunity for a New Equipment Manager to join our team, based in Braeside, Victoria. This role will report directly to the National Specialised Services Manager and be responsible for overseeing the direct business order management process, working closely with the Sales, Pre Delivery and Purchasing teams to manage, plan and deliver new equipment orders to the direct market from point of order to customer delivery.
What will you do?
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing leadership and direction to the order management customer support staff and Pre delivery workshop foreman within the business.
Develop and report on monthly build schedules inline with workshop capacity and product availability
Provide a high level of support to both the purchasing and sales teams to ensure validation of orders, ETA of wholegoods and accessories to meet sales targets
Manage the Commercial allocation process for the sales and service teams with relation to commercial direct orders
Maintain a high level of focus on product availability to aid best practice builds scheduling
Manage back orders by liaising with purchasing, ensuring customers are kept informed of delivery dates and proportioning orders on a ‘best effect; basis
What do you need?
• Minimum of 5 Years’ experience managing a team
• SAP experience is highly desirable, background in Machinery or irrigation highly desirable
• Strong understanding of analytical reporting or ability to learn
• High level of attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish effective business relationships with internal and external customers
• Strong keyboard and computing skills, in particular experience in Microsoft applications
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and demonstrates a flexible and proactive approach to the work environment
• Presents a professional and friendly image
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
