Electronic Assembler I at Subsite:
The Electronic Assembler I is responsible for assembling and testing electrical equipment. This includes but is not limited to building product per the work instructions and blueprints to the quality standards as defined by Subsite Electronics.
What Will You Do?
Perform any combination of the following tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies or products: Interpret work instructions, read blueprints, follow production schedule, and receive written or oral instruction regarding duties to be performed.
Ensure time and materials are issued to the correct jobs.
Follow production schedule (Kanban) and complete jobs within the defined standard build times.
Learn basic lean concepts: 5S, JIT, Kanban. Be willing to change and open minded to new ideas.
What Do You Need?
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year experience in electronics assembly (dependent upon other experience).
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Be physically able to perform electronic assembly line activities and lift 35lbs.
Good team member.
Results-driven and action-oriented; positive and energetic.
Good problem solving, quantitative analysis, and issue-resolution skills.
Good time management skills.
Ability to learn formal Continuous Process Improvement methodologies (5S, JIT, Kanban).
Work Environment:
Physical hazards such as sharp objects, moving machinery, materials handling, soldering equipment, electric power supplies.
- Some work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
Working with hazardous materials, including adhesives, solvents, solder, paint, and batteries.
Extended periods of standing and or sitting.
Working in close quarters with other assembly employees.
Driving company vehicles.
