The Manager of the New Product Development Project Management Department is responsible for overseeing the velocity and successful execution of the entire product portfolio. This role ensures that all new product development projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to defined scope while proactively managing resources and mitigating risks. The manager will lead a team of project managers and work cross-functionally to optimize schedules, allocate resources, and maintain high standards of project performance.
What Will You Do?

Portfolio Velocity: Own and drive the overall speed and throughput of the new product development portfolio, ensuring timely delivery of multiple concurrent projects.
Project Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules for each initiative, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely completion.
Resource Management: Allocate and optimize resources across projects, balancing team workload, skill sets, and capacity to maximize productivity and project outcomes.
Budget Oversight: Manage and track project budgets, approve expenditures, and implement cost control measures to ensure financial goals are met.
Scope Management: Define and maintain project scope, oversee change management processes, and ensure deliverables meet agreed-upon requirements.
Risk Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the portfolio, implementing proactive strategies and contingency plans to minimize project disruptions.
Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership, product teams, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, challenges, and successes.
Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve project management processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field
Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing complex product development portfolios.
Proven track record in delivering projects on time and within budget.
Strong expertise in resource allocation, budgeting, risk management, and scope control.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Experience with project management software and portfolio management tools.
Preferred experience:
Master's Degree
PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.

Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $120200 - $150000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
