Toro’s Irrigation and Lighting business is located in Riverside, CA. The Toro Company’s irrigation business is comprised of two distinct brands, Toro® and Irritrol®. Both brands offer a full line of solid, dependable, irrigation products including controllers, sensors, valves, spray heads and rotors to help customers care for golf courses, sports fields, public green spaces, commercial and residential properties. Unique Lighting Systems is a leading brand of professional grade lighting fixtures, low voltage transformers, LED lamps and the patented HUB system for installation. Serving both residential and commercial markets, Unique Lighting Systems offers a full line of outdoor lighting products. 

The Customer Service Technician II performs tasks related to the repair of mechanical and electronic Toro and/or Irritrol controllers.  

Wage: $28.67 per hour

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: 

  • Reworks mechanical or electronic controllers for customers due to normal wear, natural disaster, water damage, or warranty guidelines.
  • Supports product requirements by testing, diagnosing, adjusting, and/or replacing components.
  • Sets up and tests complete units and components to ensure they comply with current specification.
  • Records data in computer system for tracking, development, standardization, and quality control.
  • Responsible for informing team on status of inventory levels as componentsare depleted.
  • Performs other required duties as needed in addition to the essential duties and responsibilities just described.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a strong team contributor.
  • Accountable for all tools issued to perform job tasks.
  • As necessary, available to work overtime.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 

  • Experience:  Minimum 2 years experience building, testing and/or repairing mechanical or electronic products.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to troubleshoot product failures (electronic and/or mechanical).  Must be able to read and understand schematics.  Basic through-hole and surface-mount soldering skills.
  • Training:  Ability to use computers and standard business software.  Ability to use precision measuring devices (calipers, go/no-go gauges, pines, micrometer, digital meters, iconoscopes, etc.

  • The employee must be able to handle up to 50 lbs.
