The Toro Company's Shakopee plant is the largest non-engine supplier to Toro with 125,000 square feet of production facility. Job Purpose:

Supervises operations staff characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes, in a limited area of the operations. Supervisor I is a pivotal role expected to steer our operations towards excellence. Responsible for overseeing a range of critical functions, this position ensures strict adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role demands a dynamic leader who can effectively manage people and processes, driving team performance and business results through inspirational leadership and effective communication.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage daily work assignments and schedules to meet productivity and drive business results.

  • Monitor production activity, identify process issues, troubleshoot causes, and develop short- and long-term solutions as merited.

  • Work closely with site leadership and other supervisors to establish clear processes in alignment with business objectives.

  • Ensure adherence to TTC standards, procedures, policies, and government regulations, prioritizing safety, quality, and compliance.

  • Communicate clear expectations, goals, and accomplishments to the team, tying efforts to TTC quality standards, safety protocols, and government regulations.

  • Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives by advocating for and implementing where merited the improvements with the team.

  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Experience in supervisory or team lead role a plus.

  • Basic understanding of the supervisory principles to include problem-solving and conflict resolution.

  • Effective verbal and written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse team.

  • Organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficient software application skills; preferred Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, Kronos, Workday

  • Ability to understand and follow safety protocols and regulations.

  • Strong organizational and planning abilities

  • Experience in process improvement; LEAN or continuous improvement certification preferred.

  • Ability to meet required goals and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to walk and stand throughout working hours, up to 10 hours.

  • Manufacturing setting with moving equipment and varying lighting, temperature, and noise levels

  • Typical office environment as it pertains to lighting, temperature, and noise level when in administrative/operations offices.

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse, and other simple tools found in common industrial and office areas.
