Responsibilities
Toro Tomah is hiring Paint Associates!
Starting Pay: $23.03/hour
2nd shift: Monday - Friday, 2:30pm-11:00pm with overtime when needed.
Who are We?
Toro located in Tomah Wisconsin is an outdoor power equipment manufacturer. Product made at this facility is for both residential and commercial use. The Primary departments are assembly, weld, material handling, paint and the supermarket.
The Paint Associateis responsible forpreparing, hanging, and removing parts on the paint line to ensure efficient production flow and proper paint coverage. This position supports the painting process by inspecting parts for quality,maintainingorganization and safety in the work area, and working closely with team members to meet production goals. The Paint Associate plays a key role in ensuring painted products meet established standards for finish, appearance, and durability.
What Will You Do?
Prepare and hang parts, components, or assemblies on paint line rack or fixtures according to specifications
Ensure proper spacing, balance, and alignment of parts for optimal coating coverage
Mask or plug surfaces as required to protect areas from paint.
Verify part numbers, quantities, and quality before hanging
Assist with loading and unloading the paint line and organizing workflow.
Inspect parts for cleanliness, damage, defects, before and after painting.
Maintain work area cleanliness and follow safety procedures
Report any issues, shortages, or quality concerns to supervisors.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, required.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or related industry, preferred.
- Read and comprehend procedures, operator and safety manuals, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- General computer proficiency, including the ability to navigate MS Office and other company systems.
Physical requirements
Sitting, walking, kneeling, crouching/stooping, lifting (up to 40 lbs. and occasionally 30 lbs.), squatting, crawling, twisting upper body, and reaching/stretching.
Operate overhead hoists and electric hand tools.
Ability to use/manipulate hand tools for fine and gross motor tasks.
