As the Director of Dealer Sales - you will lead the residential and landscape contractor business’s dealer sales strategy and team. This leader will build and manage successful dealer networks, drive revenue growth, and develop strong relationships within the industry. Position plays a crucial role in expanding market presence, increasing sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction with our important dealer and distributor channel partners. This person will shape and develop a world class sales organization.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: ​

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for strengthening our dealer network for outdoor power equipment products.
  • Drive revenue growth by setting and achieving sales targets, managing sales pipelines, and analyzing market trends to identify new opportunities.
  •  Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential dealers, providing them with the support and resources they need to succeed, including hosting and leading dealer related events.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive positioning, and customer preferences to inform sales, marketing, product development, and customer care strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they meet their targets and career objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to align strategies and ensure a unified approach in achieving company goals.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and dealer feedback for senior management. Act as the demand lead for the dealer and distribution channel.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively within the sales department to ensure cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure that all sales activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Additional requirements as assigned.
  • Travel up to 40%

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years of successful experience in dealer sales leadership within the outdoor power equipment or equivalent industry.
  • Strong understanding of outdoor power equipment products.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution abilities.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance.
  • Innovative mindset  to elevate The Toro Company technology toolset in order to reduce friction and increase speed-to-market.
