Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Utilize all information and tools to monitor throughput and productivity to insure timely fulfillment of orders to customers and production.
  • Identify and provide training and leadership to assigned employees to ensure that proper work procedures and practices are followed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with supervisor and co-workers.
  • Provide performance evaluations for assigned employees. This includes: observing and noting behavior; measuring performance; giving feedback and guidance on employee development goals.
  • Ensure safe work procedures are followed.
  • Encourage productivity, quality, good attendance, departmental cleanliness, cooperation, and good work habits. This includes providing a good example of appropriate work behavior.
  • Demonstrate typical expectations for leadership, creativity, productivity, quality, attendance, and safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma (or the equivalent) or relevant production order and warehousing experience. 
  • Appropriate warehouse and shipping experience accompanied with proven continuous learning and improvement.
  • Demonstrate ability to learn Supply Chain Management, which includes Sales Order, Customer Service, and Warehouse Processes, along with Materials Handling Methodologies.
  • Demonstrate the ability and desire to learn and apply the technical aspects of this position.
  • Demonstrate appropriate Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (in person, by telephone, and in writing)
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills including a professional, self-confident image.
  • Have a good work record of self-motivation, judgment, productivity, and safety.

Other Job-Related Components:

  • Manufacturing plant conditions (indoors, with variable temperature and humidity, noise, and dirt).
  • Physical hazards such as powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, and moving machinery.
  • Works with hazardous materials such as oils, grease, paint, solvents, coolant, pressurized gases, various acids and caustics, cleaners, and metals.
  • Rapidly changing workloads and priorities, and conflicting deadlines.
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds repetitively on occasion
